My NAFA Journey

I don't remember why I chose dance as my CCA back in primary one. But I know I've never regretted it.

Some people go their whole life in search of what's their talent, what they're good at. I wouldn't say I'm world-class quality like those on So You Think You Can Dance, but it's through this CCA trial in my primary school, my dance instructor picked me and brought me over to NAFA. Maybe this is my talent?

I guess we were all like unpolished diamonds, waiting for someone to realise our potentials, and it was ZLS who saw it in us.



I remember back when I was 8, I had to join the seniors for a performance when all my other dance mates from my grade didn't have to. I felt so alone, and I dread going for rehearsals! Like seriously!!!! NOT FUN OK. Yah, but it was since then..............



This was born.

This picture is of recently. Back when I was younger, it wasn't that straight. But yeah, this has been my signature move since 8. Till I learnt the front flip, that is. Hahahaha!!!


And I remember this period of time whereby I hated to go for dance cause I was just so bloody lazy!!!!! I'd fake a stomachache or something, GOD I WANNA PUNCH MYSELF.



Litong and Jinglin! Really awesome dancers. Every Sunday, after dance we will go buy bubbletea from that brandless bubbletea shop. Litong and I would always poke fun at Jinglin and ask her to eat since she's so skinny. HAHAHA. EXHIBIT A, REMEMBER?




Kailing! My dearestttttttttt!!!! Who dropped out halfway, cause she lazy pig. Just kidding, NAFA fees are no joke okay. It was very sad to not be able to graduate with her, but all's well la! She forever the joker of the class, everytime got new stunt one. My god, no one will talk louder than her.





This is Yuling! SHE GOD DAMN PRETTY RIGHT. Look like angmoh. I remember the first time I saw her. Hahahaha!!!!!! She's damn bloody talented lar. One of the best dancers I have came into contact with. Really fabulous. But she keeps saying I'm good I'm good and I'm like..... HAVE YOU LOOKED AT YOURSELF BIOTCH?!


Murong. I sit with her for 2 mins only I wanna let her eat my knuckle sandwich. CANNOT KEEP QUIET ONE. Everyday "HEY, GOT ANY GRAPES?!"




This was the outing to town. Random dude who wanted to take photo with us. I KNOW WE PWEDDY LAR.

So yeah, today was my last day NAFA. It wasn't easy, but it was definitely, 100%, worth it.

Hey girls, we've grown so much. Vertically (except me -_-) and horizontally (except Jinglin, lucky or what). Can you remember your first performance? Compare it with that recently. It's like the evolution of a beautiful firework. From the ignition, to the bloom, and finally to the end.



The one person whom I'm most thankful for. is Zoulaoshi. She is so patient and responsible and funny and adorableeeeee!!!!! I really love her so much for picking me out, for giving me this opportunity to shine on stage, for letting me realise where I stand, for imparting so many valuable life skills, for showering us with so much care and concern. She has been a really really really outstanding role model for me.

I see so much passion and perserverance in her and it motivates me so greatly. I will not be who I am today without her.


MY GOD THIS IS A MUSHY POST. IT'S NOT ME AT ALL. But yes, this is an extension of my loveeeeee. For zls, for all of my dance mates, for those who supported me over the years.


My journey at NAFA has come to a perfect, happy closure.
